Maxine Waters: ‘Should We Explore Exile’ On Trump?

“Women are outraged and fed up with this President.”

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., continued her tirade against President Donald Trump Thursday with a tweet suggesting that her months-long determination that Trump should be impeached is no longer sufficient.

Waters used the furor provoked by a Trump tweet about MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski to suggest a further extreme.

“Women are outraged and fed up with this President. Impeachment isn’t enough. Should we explore exile?” she tweeted.

Waters focused on the part of Trump’s tweet in which he said Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”

“He’s gone too far,” she told TMZ. “Stepped way over the line. Added to everything else he’s done, and said about women, and his history, and his reputation about how he has dealt with women should be enough for everybody to conclude he’s not worthy.”

Waters drew support from some on Twitter who not only backed up her tweet but took her idea in a more extreme and violent direction.

Others noted that it was simply more of the same talk Waters has participated in since Trump took office.

“What is there left to say about Maxine Waters?” wrote Andrew Mark Miller on Young Conservatives. “She gave up trying to be a real politician a long time ago and this whole Trump thing has thrown her for a loop to the point where there’s no coming back from the fantasy land she now lives in.”

“She has been one of the most vocal supporters of a Trump impeachment regardless of the fact there is not a shred of evidence connecting him to the Russian conspiracy theory the Democrats have adopted,” he wrote. “It seems like Maxine might be starting to understand that people aren’t listening to her anymore because she just upped the ante in a very strange way.”
