6 Dead And 7 Injured In Chicago Shootings.
The violence in our country continues. Two weeks ago, Las Vegas was hit with huge tragedy. The massacre in Las Vegas killed 58 people and wounded 489. Those deaths have been felt across the entire continent and the shootings across the U.S. have reached huge proportions.
Although we are still recovering from the Las Vegas’ tragedy, the violence across our country continues. America has experienced yet another shooting. Six people were killed and at least seven other people have been injured in shooting across Chicago since Friday evening.
Among the 6 people who were killed there was also a 64-year-old woman, identified as Cynthia Trevillion, who was struck by a stray bullet, about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side. Trevillion was teaching math at Chicago Waldorf School. According officials, Trevillion was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The latest fatal shooting occured after midnight Sunday on the Far South Side. Officers responded to a call of a person shot shortly and found a 26-year-old woman unresponsive on a front porch in the 9600-block of South Forest.
About 10:25 p.m. Saturday, a 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were killed down in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side. They were struck in the head and body and pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said that they were sitting in a parked van in the 8900-block of South Union when a gray vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots.
52-year-old Victor Carrillo lost his live due to a shot in the chest when gunshots rang out about 8:15 p.m. Friday as he sat in a parked car in an alley off the 4400-block of South Marshfield.
A 29-year-old man, while walking on the sidewalk in the 10800-block of South Avenue H, was shot in the leg. He was taken at Trinity Hospital, and his condition is now stabilized.
Unfortunately, the shootings across our country are becoming more frequent. We need to stay united to fight against violence. Trump administration must find a solution on this big problem. The shooting in Chicago have reached huge proportions.
